Craigslist blog 2

The journey is still have a hard time getting of the ground, although I may have found some wings. I have one lady interested in letting me walk her dog, as well as a football player wanting me to edit a high light tape.

I have learned what jobs are offered and they fall in either two categories: promotional or lazy.

Now I'm not talking about the jobs for the unemployed with experience and higher education. These are one time opportunities that people are willing to give up. These jobs including moving furniture from a garage, walking dogs, babysitting.

There are a good amount of these jobs, but they are very difficult to get. Maybe the early bird gets the worm. Maybe it is those who get up early and hunt are the ones who get employed..

Regardless, it is very hard to find an opportunity. It is also very frustrating. I really want to do this but I need a job.

New Experiment: Bouncing from Job to Job on Craigslist

OK here is the situation: I am jumping from job to job on Craigslist looking to make a profit, and I have about 2 1/2 weeks to complete the task before I have to turn in my paper. So far my job count is at zero. Great right.

I have one gig lined up,but it is for no pay. I intern at a local radio station, and I am going to start to work on their morning show, a job that they posted on Craigslist. I won't make a profit of this, but at least it fits under the qualifications I have designed.

Here's the thing, it is so hard to get a PAYING job on craigslist because many of them require some sort of degree from college. There is also significant competition for each.
For example, the job at my radio station received A DOZEN applications in a week! That is a lot... a pile is currently stacked at the corner at my boss's desk.

The task of finding a job is a frustrating one. I feel the pressure of the my predetermined deadline huffing and puffing down my neck. I am up against the clock, and the clock is using its extra hand to beat me.

I can see this experiment lasting past the course. I like finding these jobs and have noticed some interesting gigs, but it is still difficult.

So far now I will stick to my campus jobs. I already have a few lined up, and have started on a few. We will see where that takes me.
